Why
invest in a Metal Roof?
Metal
is one of the most durable roofing products known to man.
If you take the time to inspect your own roof, you will find
that metal is used in all the difficult areas of the roof
including the drip edges, valleys and flashings. Metal is
used in these extremely demanding areas regardless of the
material used on the rest of the roof. There is a reason for
this: Metal can take it. Also, if you think about it, you
will realise that the roof is the only remaining area of the
home where we, as homeowners, still tolerate the use of a
temporary product with a very limited life span. Through "good
marketing" and "ever extending promises" by
the asphalt companies, consumers continue to purchase products
that they know will end up in a landfill site after a relatively
short period of time. However, we do have a choice. With the
technology available today in metal production, combined with
superior coatings and paint technology, it is possible to
manufacture an entire roof from metal that will last a lifetime.

How much does it cost?
Cost is
obviously important when making a decision between roof options.
A Springhouse roof will outlast several asphalt roofs and,
as one might expect, costs more initially. However, when one
considers the long-term costs associated with asphalt, it
is easy to appreciate the economic benefits and value
of metal roofing. Although Springhouse Shingles cost more
at the outset, their longer life cycle means you actually
pay substantially less over the long term.

How long will a Springhouse
roof last?
It will
be the last roof you install on your home. It is a lifetime
product.

Is a metal roof noisy?
No, it
is not noisy. The unique floating design of Springhouse Shingles
incorporates a small air space between the shingles and the
roof deck. This space minimises noise echoes and ensures that
noise is not transferred through to the roof deck. Coupled
with other building products: i.e. attic, air space, insulation
and drywall, a Springhouse roof will sound no different than
any other roofing material.

Are Springhouse Shingles
durable?
They are
so durable that you can walk on the roof both during installation
and after with total confidence. Springhouse Shingles will
not crack, bend, warp or peel. Our shingles are manufactured
from steel, hence you get the "strength of steel",
one of the strongest, most durable and economical building
materials. We provide further protection to the steel by coating
metal with zinc prior to the painting. Zinc provides long
lasting corrosion protection. Click Our
Product for more information on the performance and appearance
of our metal shingles.

How will weather affect
Springhouse Shingles?
Many customers
notice that their current asphalt roof will begin to show
signs of weathering just a few years after installation. Although
these roofs will remain water tight, the exposure to the ultra
violet and severe weather conditions cause existing roofs
to suffer from discolouration, cracking, warping and blow
off. Springhouse Shingles, due to their unique patented design
combined with the proven ability of metal and superior coatings,
will not show any signs of weathering for many years. We
guarantee it.

Can Springhouse Shingles
be applied over my existing roof?
Yes. Springhouse
Shingles can be installed over your existing asphalt roof
thereby eliminating expensive tear off and disposal fees.

What if I sell my house before the end
of the warranty period?
If you
decide to sell your home before the end of the warranty period,
the Springhouse Protection Plan automatically transfers the
warranty to the new owner, resulting in a higher real estate
value for your home.

What finish is used
on Springhouse Shingles?
KYNAR
500® (a cousin to Teflon) is a proven top of the line
fluoropolymer paint recognised as the best in the industry.
It is a baked-on coating that has been field tested for over
30 years on buildings like the Xerox Center in downtown Chicago.
KYNAR 500® has the ability to resist ultra violet rays
and pollutants and the finish will only fade slightly over
a 30-year period. This finish is backed by a 30-year meaningful
warranty.

What is a meaningful
warranty?
A meaningful
warranty will clearly define what is covered, for how long
and against what. Andex Metal Products Ltd. warrants its Springhouse
Shingles against manufacturer's defects and finish failure
for a total of 30 years. When it comes to metal roofing, a
warranty must provide protection against failure of the protective
coating. It is the protective coating that must remain intact
in order to ensure the longevity of the product. Therefore,
if the warranty fails to provide protection for the coating
or paint finish, it is not a meaningful warranty
. The Springhouse Protection Plan offers this protection like
no other.

Can I install the
roof myself?
Yes, although
we do not recommend the application of our product by a novice
do-it-yourselfer. By following our detailed installation instructions,
an experienced do-it-yourselfer can install Springhouse Shingles
with relative ease.

Is lightning attracted
to metal roofs?
The answer
is No! It is a fact that lightning is attracted to the tallest
object. A metal roof does not, in itself, attract lightning.

gloss colours, as well as in copper, lead coated copper,
